It is a normal 1hp stainless steel pressure pump with MAINS SWITCH which means it works with the pump and rainwater tank until the water gets to low inside the rainwater tank then it automatically switches to your mains water supply. Introduction
The pump and mains backup switch is an automatic device used for
rainwater harvesting systems. It will optimize collected
rainwater, when available and default to a mains water source if tank
water is not available or should there be a pump or power failure. It
basically automatically supplies water to your toilets and laundry,
only using mains water as a backup. When the water level inside your
rainwater tank gets too low the switch converts to mains water supply.
Also, when the water level in your rainwater tank is restored it
switches back to pump/tank operation saving you money on your water
bills.

Capable of full mains pressure delivery, electronically switch
between tank water and mains water, it does reliant on the pump
pressure being higher than the mains.

Pump back flow protection built in, the unit will cross check
flow after pump initiation, and if not present the pump power will be
isolated. This protects the pump in the event of poor installation or
float switch fault.
