Higgins cares about comfort and safety while focusing on conserving our precious environment. Higgins Sound Batts will assist in reducing noise levels in all internal fit-outs in Domestic and Commercial applications
Higgins Sound Batts are available in two standard widths to suit typical domestic and commercial construction: 450mm and 610mm for joists at 450 and 600 centres respectively.
Installation
Higgins Sound Batts are suitable for installation in ceilings or walls. Ceilings: Lay the batts/rolls between ceiling joists, and ensure there are no gaps between the batts and the joist. The batts are easily cut with a pair of industrial scissors or alternatively torn across. Walls: Fit your batts/rolls between wall framing. Batts are usually slightly oversized to provide a snug fit between framing members. If required lightly staple, string or tape into position. N.B. When doing any installation remember a 50mm gap should be allowed around flue pipes, exhaust fans, recess lights etc and small off cuts maybe used to fill small spaces. Where possible electrical cabling should be laid over the top of the insulation in ceilings or in the air gap if installed in walls.
For installation specifications refer to method Australian Standards AS3999.
