Product Performance
■ After unpacking, the product is designed to achieve its nominal stabilized thickness within 24 hours of installation.
■ The performance of this product may be reduced if stored for too long in its compression packaging
■ The total R-value depends on installation and may be greater than or less than the R-value of the product
■ The material R-value represented on this pack was determined at a mean temperature of 23Co for products sold in Australia and 15C for products sold in New Zealand, as per ASINZS 4859.2
■ The material R-value is independent of heat flow direction (the same R-value is achieved in summer and winter conditions)
Safety Information
■ When handling FBS-l glass wool, particularly handling it overhead or in enclosed or poorly ventilated areas such as ceiling spaces or rises, eye contact with dust or fibre can be avoided by wearing ventilated non-fogging dust resistant goggles conforming to Australian and New Zealand Standard ASINZS (eye protectors for industrial applications)
■ Direct skin contact can be minimized by wearing long sleeved shirts and long trousers, a cap or hat, and standard duty gloves confining to Australian Standard AS 2161 (Industrial safety gloves and mittens)
■ When handling FBS-I glass wool, particularly during work in enclosed or poorly ventilated areas, an approved particulate respirator conforming to Australian and New Zealand standards ASINZS 1715 (Selection, use and maintenance of respiratory protective devices) and ASINZS 1716 (Respiratory protective devices) is recommended
Take following precautions to minimize dust:
■ Use hand tools in preference to power tools
■ Clean up regularly by damp sweeping or vacuuming
■ Wash work clothes regularly and separately from other clothes
