Description
Rooflite polycarbonate is one of the most advanced thermoplastic polymers and is manufactured in various profiles. Rooflite polycarbonate sheets are ideal for applications requiring high light transmission, a light weight product, with resistance to impact and hailstones, and self-extinguishing material is required. Rooflite polycarbonate has passed cyclone testing to TR440 and is included in NT Deem to Comply Manual. Rooflite polycarbonate sheets maintain these properties for a long time and are UV protected through the co-extrusion of the UV absorber that actually avoids ageing and deterioration of the product. Rooflite polycarbonate sheets are quick and easy to install, have a flexible and finely defined profile, are virtually unbreakable, with the advantageous cost / performance ratio; all characteristics that make it a product without comparison.
Lightweight
Rooflite polycarbonate sheets have a low square metre weight. This makes the manual handling of the sheets easy and puts very little pressure on the structure.
Weathering resistance
Rooflite polycarbonate sheets have a low square metre weight. This makes the manual handling of the sheets easy and puts very little pressure on the structure.
Temperature range
Rooflite Polycarbonate can withstand a temperature range of -30ºC to 120ºC without losing any of its physical properties.
Self extinguishing
Rooflite polycarbonate sheets are self extinguishing. They do not spread flame and do not create toxic gasses.
Cold curving
Rooflite polycarbonate sheets can be cold curved, subject to the minimum bending radius of 3 metres being complied with. |
Impact resistance
The resistance to impact is 200 times stronger than that of glass and up to 10 times stronger than other thermoplastic materials, making it almost unbreakable.
Light transmission
The brightness remains virtually unchanged with the passing of time because it is protected by a co-extruded UV layer that protects the sheet.
Yellowing index
Rooflite polycarbonate sheets do not incur significant yellowing because the external side is protected against the sun's rays through special UV absorbers.
UV shield
Rooflite polycarbonate is a material with a remarkable capacity of shielding up to 99% of the sun's rays, whilst providing you and the product maximum protection. |
Do-it-yourself
Rooflite polycarbonate sheets are easy to install and therefore perfect for everyday DIY person. It is the ideal solution for all small day to day projects in houses, pergolas, greenhouses and verandas.
Agriculture
For covering industrial or private greenhouses. In this particular application where heat insulation, UV selection, light weight and transparency are the main requirements, Rooflite polycarbonate sheets are an excellent solution. |
Warranty
Rooflite polycarbonate carries a lifetime warranty against loss of light transmission. Full details of warranty and conditions are available from Galaxy Rooflite upon request.
Commercial and social buildings
As covered walkways, skylights and vertical walls, transparent sections in false ceilings and as shelters or canopies. |
